Welcome to 4th Grade! I'm so excited about the upcoming school year. I know that every student has had a long summer break and is eager to be back with friends & fellow students. In the first 6-weeks of school, we will work to recover from our vacation. This will include lots of lessons involving basic number "sense"...from even/odd, to place value, to how our numbering system works and repeats. In Social Studies, we will cover where we live - basic information that each and every child needs to know. By the end of the 6-weeks, each child will know the 7 continents, 4 major oceans and which galaxy/planet/hemisphere/continent/country/state/county and city they live in!! In Science, we will investigate plants and how they are an integral part of our world. We will grow, dissect, and examine seeds, stems and leaves. So, welcome back and let's dive into learning together!!
